What it is
The Holbrook Report publishes explainers: each piece takes a subject worth understanding and walks its mechanics from public sources, defining every term and showing the reasoning. The aim is durable understanding of how something works, not commentary or a hot take. A report explains; it does not advise.

How it works
A piece begins with a genuine question. It is researched against primary and contemporaneous sources, drafted with the help of an AI model, and then directed, checked, and edited by hand until the reasoning holds and the figures trace to a citation. The body is written in an impersonal, explanatory voice; where an introduction in the author's own words is warranted, it is added separately and marked as such.
How claims are labeled
So a reader can see what kind of statement each sentence is, claims carry an inline label. In a field of confident, unlabeled writing, labeled confidence is the point.
On AI and disclosure
Every piece is written with an AI model and says so. The value is not who typed the words; it is the quality of the questions, the rigor of the verification, and the transparency about both. Each report discloses its AI authorship and any conflict of interest, labels its claims, and ends with the sources it was built from.
What this is not
Nothing here is financial, legal, or tax advice, and none of it is a recommendation to buy, sell, or do anything. It is educational writing about how things work. Where a piece touches a subject in which the author or the tools used have an interest, that conflict is disclosed and the relevant claims are held to a higher bar.
